Transferring from Community College to Four-Year School, questions..

Hi,

I'm currently planning on transfer from my Community College to a four-year school at the end of this semester, but I have some questions. Currently I'm still in the middle of my associates degree, but I've decided to transfer to the four-year and to take something else. So, here are my questions:

1) Is it necessary to give my Community College notice of my withdrawal from college? Or will simply not registering for classes for the Spring semester be sufficient? I just want to make sure I don't have any issues here...
2) If I do have to give notice of withdrawal, could this affect my ability to receive financial aid at my next institution?
3) How do I handle the issue of some of my credits being in progress? Send transcripts both mid and at the end of the semester?

Thanks.

1) no you don’t have to give notice. You might be confusing it with universities when you give a Statement of Intent to Register (SIR) which you don’t do in CC

2) ^

3) you usually just send in transcripts. each school has their own policy on transcripts so you should check carefully when you send them.
