transferring from community college to top 50 business school???

okay ill be 20 years old in december i applied to harrisburg area community colege in Pennsylvania a few days ago and filled out my FAFSA. So i should be set to start in january. I will be working part time and do my absolute best in college in high school i fooled around way too much and by the time i matured my GPA was already low. I plan on maintaining a GPA of atleast 3.5 but higher wouldnt hurt. I want to transfer to a top 50 business school and major in finance/.international busienss. I know this is possible but is it realistic? In community college i will be learning French and ill be relearning Russian my native language which will be no problem for me. When i transfer to a uni i want to study abroad in france or Russia. I want to work in trading/corperate finance/hedgefunds/investment banking/ anything that pays good really so i can have money to trade stocks which is what im good at and really enjoy doing. I was looking at DePaul since its in Chicago which is very good in trading opportunites and living expenses are low. Ofcourse i dont care as long as i can get into a top 50 that way when i get my MBA i can get into possibly a top 25 school. Is my plan realistic? Im a smart kid with potential and I am VERY ambitious and self driven. I love finance/business/economics/ andthing stock market related.

btw my EFC is 35000 but my family isnt paying anything so im stuck taking on loans

Then it is absolutely critical that you get the best grades possible while pursuing your AA. at HACC. If HACC has a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, and you qualify for membership that will be even better. Many places have transfer scholarships specifically for PTK members. The business school at Penn State Main Campus is very good. Since you are in-state for tuition and fees, that would be an excellent option for you to consider.

yeah i wish i could go to Penn state smeal but honestly its just beyond me people that transfer there do so from other universities not community colleges…

bump…
