Hello I want to transfer to a good respectable finance program. I am starting my education at a community college in Pennsylvania. My college advisor said to me as long as i have a high GPA i can basically pick where i want to transfer too.

heres a list of the classes im going to take,
1st year in CC(2011) ill take

strategy based reading 3

Accounting 1

then for 2012

after i complete 12 credits with a 3.5 i will be eligible for Phi Tetta Kappa membership which is what im aiming for. I really do need to transfer to a respectable top university like the above mentioned for a chance of employment in prop trading, im acutally networking with a very respectable firm SMB Capital already soo i hope things work out.

3.5 will get most schools to really look at your app. 3.8 will give you a great chance at almost any school you want to go to. Best of luck.

what if i only get a 3.5? bump

i want to work in hedge funds and after transferring and finishing undergrad i want to go an get my MSF or MFE from a top elite school. How can I do this? Eventually after getting work experience i want to get my MBA from a top school as well. Then off to hedge funds. I am going to double major in math/economics or finance/eceonomics with minor in math or computer science. i will get my CAIA and CFA. Good plan? advice would be greaat. I am going to get into proprietary trading after my undergraduate studies, hopefully, only if i can get into a respectable university for my undergrad, but from community college? im worried

bump i scored judy below college level math and reading but my writing was at college level. Does strategic reading 3 and intermediate algebra count as a remedial course will it count on my total credits when i transfer? cuz i would like to take other classes more advanced before i transfer to a university. Im hoping to get into Illinois Urbana.
