Hi everyone! I am applying to a few universities come October. My top choices (and closest in distance) that I’m considering are UCLA & UCSD. (I will also apply to a few CSUs to have a back up plan, but fingers crossed I get in to a UC.) To give you some background: I am getting my AA in Business Administration. I have a 3.7 GPA, which I believe will go up after I get an F from about 8 years ago “forgiven”. I have had mostly A’s lately, maybe a handful of B’s from when I first started out. I also work full time & take full time+ semesters so unfortunately I haven’t joined any clubs, however I am already looking into what I can join ASAP. I basically have the following questions: 1- Will I even be considered if I don’t have longevity in volunteering/clubs? 2- Is there anything I can add to my application from other outside activities or does it have to strictly be an approved club? 3- What groups would be more noticed? Any recommendations? 4- Is my GPA high enough to be considered?
If I’m forgetting any info, please do ask. I’d love to be more informed on this so I can brace myself.
Thanks in advance!
