i am very worried about this decision. i've had many advices through my friend, but i think i would need more. majority of my advisors are currently attending uc. and their advices were that finishing csu well and going to good uc grad school would be a better choice than transferring from csu to uc in my second year. i'm international business major going on second year on 2009 in csu fullerton. i heard that if i'm going to transfer, i have to hand in the application this year for next year fall admission. so i don't think i have much time. i'm around gpa 3.2 right now... i have 4.0 in fall semester, but i got one D in history because of the teacher so i has drop drastically...-_- i heard that it is hard enough to transfer from csu to any uc.. i don't know what to do. any advice? (my dad wants me go to ucla so bad, probably because of the name. better name = better job... not entirely lie, but not entirely true either. so i have to convince him that going to grad school is better than transfering if that's my only choice...)

please please~~~~ i need advise desperately!!! ToT

You have got some chance at the mid-low tier UCs. Some meaning it doesn’t hurt to apply and try anyways. Unfortunately, a 3.2 does not look that hot and you had low priority to begin with.

However, grad school is a whole other story. UCs accept plenty of CSU students. It is about the GPA and grades. Get them up though if you want a shot.

It’s really a great idea to transfer to a UC. Not that CSUs are bad but with transfer rates being so high it’ll really look great when applying to grad school the fact that you came from a great place such as Berkeley or LA.
