Transferring from McGill to an Ivy

Hi all, I am a 2nd year student at McGill really hoping to get into an Ivy next year as a transfer (either Cornell or UPenn) and I was wondering if anyone could give me a hint as to how important your courseload is during the semester. For instance, I'm enrolled in 16.5 credits this sem, but only took 24 credits during my freshman year. I'm also thinking about dropping one 3-credit course this sem, which will leave me at 13.5. This is because McGill recommends studnets to take only four courses when they're enrolled in language courses, and I've always been taking a third language course. Do you think that would matter? I have a 3.96GPA right now, but I'm certain it will go up to 3.98 by the end of this term (and at McGill, we're on a 4.0 system, not 4.3.) Please let me know what your opinions are, I'd really appreciate it :)

Hi there!

Can you tell me why you want to transfer back to the US? I am thinking of applying at McGill (I am bilingual Eng/Fr) and and really torn because of the weather in particular (I’m from Calif) and the housing / what I perceive as being a lack of cohesion in campus life. Can you help me out with your pros and cons???

Thanks a million,
