Mcgill International Transfer Student Thread -- Chances of Admission / Decision Timeline

Hey, Guys!

I’m an American who applied for next-semester transfer admission. I’m curious about what you think my chance for admission to McGill is.

Application to the Faculty of Arts as an incoming sophomore.

High School: 86.17/100 weighted GPA. Note that my transcript shows progression. My 1st & 2nd semester averages were 74 & 78. My 7th & 8th semester averages were 100 & 94 weighted, including 4 AP classes.

Early college courses from large public university: 3.85/4.0 GPA based off 2 course (6 credits).

Small Public College that I currently attend: 3.94/4.0 GPA based off 6 courses (18 Credits). The spring semester hasn’t been completed yet. I will have 30 total credits from this school come May.

Do you guys think I have a shot at admission?

Also, where do my fellow transfer applicants stand? What are your stats?

I forgot to ask! Have any of you received transfer admissions yet?

Are you a freshman at your current school? I believe you need a SAT score as well if you are transferring for your second year.

I’m freshman-ish. While this is my first year, I have a sophomore amount of credits with Advanced Placement. Plus, they never requested SAT scores through my application portal.

Have any of you all heard back yet? I’m in the same boat. I’m a sophomore at my current university and applied for Fall 2016 semester for Mechanical Engineering and I haven’t heard anything yet :frowning:
