average number of quarter units

This is my first year at community college. I planned out my 2 years and came up with only ~72 quarter units. I meet all the IGETC, UCB, UCLA, USC, UCSD major requirements. The minimum units is 90 to transfer to UC. What's the average number of quarter units to transfer?

Say I had the exact same classes/grades as someone else. But that other person took two additional courses of pre-calculus, but I did not because I placed into calculus on the placement test. Will they have the advantage, because they have 10 more units?

the min is 60 semester units or 90 quarter units to transfer.

YOU MUST HAVE 90 quarter or 60 semester units or you WILL BE rejected.

They only take Junior level transfers.

there are supposed stories of exceptions to this, all are in tough cases and highly unlikely

Oh, sorry I didn't make it clear. That wasn't really my question. I will be taking 90 units, but I don't want to be doing the bare minimum 90. I also don't want to be doing like 115. So I'm wondering what the average is.

Average depends on major.

As long as you have 90 it doesnt matter if you have more. The most you get credit for is 105 quarter units, anything above 105 quarter units you get subject credit for and not unit credit.

If you are a math/engineering or science major you will usually have closer to 105 than an English major, or you may surpass 105 if you are in the math/eng/scie field.

Thanks. I am an Economics major. I will probably just do around 90-95 then. Thanks again. :)
