Hey guys, I'm currently a spring semester freshman in Northeatern. My major is currently undecided though I got accepted into the business college originally. I'm thinking about going into something like economics however. Though I'm a US citizen, I lived in Hong Kong my whole life and attended a british-style school and so rather than having accumulated AP credits or such, I did the GCSE's and the A-levels. I managed to pull off all A's on my GCSE's, but my A-levels weren't too strong (1 A, and 2 passes). I'm trying to do as well as I can here in Northeastern. What can I do to maximize my chances for getting into NYU? Should I apply for spring 2011? Please give me some advice, I really want this!

Your best bet is to transfer to NYU after 2 years of college, that way your high school resume will matter less to the prospective colleges you wish to apply. Try and keep your GPA a 3.7 or above to maximize your chances.

Keep in mind getting in as a transfer is harder than getting in as a freshmen.

I sent an email to you responding to the NEU to NYU move. My son did same thing. Good luck

do you mind sending me this email also? im also at northeastern and want to transfer to nyu

Hey jnd3344, do you think you can help me out to? and was your son accepted to Stern?

Hey there! I’m thinking of doing the same thing and transferring from Northeastern to NYU, can I get a copy of the e-mail too?
