Transferring from UGA(PLEASE READ!

Hello,
I wanted to have some opinions regarding transferring from UGA to Georgia Tech in only one school year at UGA. Today i spoke to my counselor for setting up classes and its looking like a 16 hour semester for two semesters in order to complete all the transfer requirements for going into Tech(I am a freshman btw). I get how going to Tech is kind of overrated, but its the best school by a long shot in Georgia for engineering. Right now the plan is to go for Computer Science, however I am not sure if that would change later. Having said that, I do like the idea of leaving my mom’s apartment right now specially since my dad and mom are getting a divorce currently and things can feel really weird at times(although i know they try to make me as uninvolved as possible). However, that means ill be losing a whole lot of money and earn an arguably less valuable degree. If I transfer to Georgia Tech, social life will not be As much specially since ill be living with my mom to save money. I would essentially go to school for free since my tuition is fully paid for through HOPE. Now the question becomes, should I ride through the rather intense schedule the first year and see how it goes, and mabey finish my undergrad and then transfer. Or just transfer after the first year since i would have met all the requirements. Its important to mention that my dad has mentioned and continuously will that he will support my college funds(he is a great father, working 12 hour shifts as a driver to make money). However im not sure about how he will feel about paying 17,000 for two whole years at UGA as opposed to 2-3000. To be honest, i don’t even know what I WANT. Im not sure if i want to study computers or even go to tech. Im a really hard working student(your typical foreigner kid who pull all nighters for A). Anyway, not sure if I left out any crucial details, but it would mean a lot to get some thoughts on this. I want to do something meaningful with my life, I’m not looking for being the “life of the party” at UGA according to my cringy advisor’s comments.

This is a confusing thread starter post.
