I got rejected last fall from BU as a high school applicant. I am now going to Loyola Maryland and was hoping I could transfer into BU after one semester. However, seeing as the Spring transfer deadline is November 1st, I don’t think I would be able to send in my first semester grades. Does this mean I would have to spend a whole year at a Loyola before I could transfer? I reaaallly hope not.

You should call admissions and see what they say. As far as I am aware, Spring transfer is generally for those who have spent a year at an institution already. It’s possible that you could transfer for next fall. Anyway, call admissions, I know that sometimes the transcripts are accepted later.

Even if you did go to Loyola MD for a full year, it’s a good school and you’ll be saving money. Go and have a great time and work hard on your transfer application for next fall. Good luck!
