Transferring: Is my SAT score really that important?

Hi CC! I'm planning on applying to several schools for transfer admission next fall (I'm currently a freshman). I'm wondering, though, if my SAT score will hurt me. I got a 1960 when I took the test in high school, but I also got a 30 on my ACT. Should I only send in my ACT score? Does either really matter when it comes to transfer admission? I ended up with a 4.0 for my first semester in college, and I'm hoping that my GPA will be enough to get me into the schools I am applying to.

Thank you for your help/advice in advance! I really know very little about the transfer process and any comments are appreciated.

All these questions and more are answered in the sticky thread “Transfer Admissions 101” at the top of the Transfer Forum: [Transfer Students - College Confidential](Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums)

Good luck with your applications!

Yes, the SAT is still very important after just one year in college at many schools, especially highly selective ones.
