Hi I attend Auburn University for a degree in Economics but I want to transfer to UGA for their Economics program. The reasoning is because AU’s Economics program is in the college of liberal arts, not in the business school. I am trying to apply to UGA for the spring semester of 2018. I am taking summer classes to get every core class done that’s on UGA’s business curriculum. At the end of the summer I will have over 60+ credit hours. I saw on the admission page the minimum GPA requirement is a 2.8 and I believe I’ll have a solid 3.0+ by then. What are my chances of being accepted as a junior with all these credit hours. I feel like I will be accepted because I won’t have anymore core classes to take but some input would be nice!
From my son: All’s I know is that after the cutoff statistics, the transfer criteria are based on the applicant pool of that year (I think) so it all depends on how good the other students are. Also, he will have to apply to get into Terry once he gets to UGA. If he wants the BBA, as opposed to the AB, he will have to make sure he has taken the Terry perquisites before he can be accepted to Terry.
I don’t know if this is what you were asking for. The business school seems to be very helpful with transfer questions; why don’t you give them a call.
All of my credits would go to the business school. My question is do I have a good chance at getting accepted into UGA as a junior transfer student with a 3.0+ GPA
