Would the admissions office of the college I’m trying to go to (University at Buffalo) care about the fact that I chose not to take up their offer when I applied the first time? I really wanted to go but wasn’t able to due to my family saying they wouldn’t support me going there (in hindsight, should have disregarded).
My d applied as a transfer to several schools where she was accepted directly from high school. They didn’t hold it against her in the least; in fact, they honored the scholarship packages that they originally awarded.

yeah I’d say you probably have a better chance if you got in the first time. go for it!
