I have currently transferred out from one college to another. I am curious to know if you can transfer out again to a different college. Can you do that? Also that my GPA on my first college wasn’t good but I have really good GPA in my second college. How does that affect your admission to another college?
They look at your whole record. If your parents can pay out-of-pocket you could probably transfer. What college are you attending now and where do you want to go?
The more important question is why? What do you think you will find at the third college that you haven’t found yet. Not really a good sign to potential employers or graduate schools that you can’t seem to adapt where your at. Just saying…
Many students transfer multiple times for all kinds of different reasons. So yes, you can do that to.
However, as you already know, transferring isn’t easy because you have to adapt to the new place and a lot of your credits might not be accepted. Think through everything carefully before you apply for transfer again.
I am gonna attend SUNY Buffalo. My first college was Queens College. I was thinking of going to transfer to either NYU or Stony Brook or to USC (this one is just to keep my options open). NYU and Stony Brook are really close to my parent’s house. That would save my housing expenses by a lot and in my FAFSA, my EFC is 0. The reasons why I am thinking of transferring to either to them is due to their reputable Computer Science departments and the big software companies recruit mostly from either of those colleges for their software engineering roles.
If you have a $0 EFC how are you planning to pay for Buffalo? If it requires your parents to take loans it isn’t affordable. Is Queens College a cc or a 4 year school? You’re better off graduating from a cc and transferring to Stony Brook than taking out loans to go to Buffalo.
Frankly, I think you are better off at UB. But to answer your question, you can transfer as many times as you can find schools to accept you and that you can afford.
Getting money from NYU to pay that steep tuition is going to be a challenge. Especially as a transfer. But you can try. Why did you transfer to UB over SB this time around? Yes, you can try to transfer into SB and NYU from UB.
Have you already started at UB for the fall? If you haven’t yet, can you cancel that enrollment and take a semester off to apply to SB?

My parents are still able to afford the leftover tuition for UB without taking in loans. Queens College is a four year school with a pretty bad computer science department. I transferred to UB is because I didn’t get in Stony Brook because of low credits and not good enough GPA also my high school grades and my SAT was mediocre. I believe that thinking of getting a good GPA in UB as I got really good professors this semester.

I have been denied admission at Stony Brook twice at this point. One for freshmen admission and two for a very early transfer that I shouldn’t have applied for.
If your parents can afford UB without loans go there and graduate. NYU doesn’t offer much aid and if you’ve been rejected by SB twice it’s unlikely you’ll be accepted on the 3rd try.
I think that the main thing is to work hard to get good grades at SUNY Buffalo. Attend all classes, seek out help when you need it, and work hard to keep ahead in all of your homework. I am guessing that you might have already noticed that in writing software sometimes you think that you are nearly done, and discover that it can take quite a while to get to 100% done, debugged, and working properly. Therefore projects will sometimes provide a last minute unpleasant surprise in terms of how long they will take.
If you do really well at Buffalo, this will help you quite a bit regardless of whether you end up graduating from SUNY Buffalo or transferring again.
