I'm currently a freshman at the University of North Texas, and not enjoying myself one bit. I feel like I'm getting a cheap education. But that may be because it was my last choice of schools, which was really my fault.

Anyways, I'm almost certain I want to study something in the design field like graphic design or illustration, but I'm also interested in advertising. Basically, I want to communicate ideas and stories, and I'm preeeettty sure I want to do it visually. So I want to go to a well respected place for that. I plan on going to grad school, so I would like to go to save the absolute top schools (like..Carnegie Melon) for that, and for when I know exactly what I want to concentrate in.

So, here I am, a transfer student, looking for a fairly well-respected and successful program, at a school that isn't necessarily just for art (for a more well-rounded education). Where is a good place for me to go, considering I got a 2100 on my SAT, plan on getting a 4.0, and have always been the top art student in my classes? What about places near the D.C. area?
