Transferring to Cal Poly Pomona vs Sac State for mechanical engineering?

I got into Sac State and I live in the Sacramento area. I heard the ME program is ok. I have a pre construction internship at a construction company; I’ve been interning since the beginning of January. The only real reason I want to attend CSUS is to continue the internship but I would prefer an internship in aerospace. I’ve heard CPP is a good school for engineering. Apparently, it has an extremely large engineering program, but I’m not too sure what that tells me? I got on their waitlist. I don’t know too much about CPP & it’s engineering program, can anyone enlighten me? What do you think sets the CPP engineering apart from other engineering programs? What do you think sets the CSUS engineering apart from other engineering programs? Do CPP grads get hired in notable companies often?

Any reply is a good one! Thank you!

cal poly pomona is known for their engineering program, even better than some UC’s. The thing that sets cpp apart from other schools is their way of teaching, which is “learn by doing”. I would go to cpp instead of SAC state, but thats just my opinion. Look into salary after graduation, cpp is a lot higher.

As long as the move won’t break the bank, I’d point you to CPP. You want to change your focus to Aerospace and they have an outstanding program.
