i'm applying for the junior applicant for carlson. i have all A's in the tool courses and if i do well this fall semester, i'ill have a 3.4...the 3.4 because i got a C in chem 1021 since I decided to not do pre med. i've heard it's really tough because if the advisors aren't interested in your personal statement, then they go on to the next applicant? i've heard so many stories about carlson, but i dont' know what to believe. I'm wondering if anyone who's transferred to carlson has any advice? i'm also a leader in a student group, in a business student group, and possibly on the rowing club, if that helps my chances

The bad news: transfer admissions for Carlson are very competitive. Your GPA is low…like bottom 5% of admitted transfers.

The good news: your strong performance in the tool courses shows that you can succeed academically. With a very compelling personal statement I think you have a shot.

So, you’ll be a sophomore this year? What is your fallback plan?
