I graduated from high school in the year 2014 and decided to go to NSU to pursue my running career under a scholarship. While I was there I performed horribly academically for a year leading up to a 1.6 gpa and 27 credits.i was a nursing major there. I tried balancing running, partying, and my education. After a year there I transferred to STU where I switched my major to criminal justice and I have done 3 semesters and have an overall gpa of 3.58 with 52 credits. But according to FSU they count all credits, meaning I will have a 2.75 gpa as of now and if I do well this upcoming spring semester I will have around a 2.8-2.9 and 67 credits overall. Seeing this growing tend and big improvement do you think FSU will accept me. I want to get into their Criminal Justice/Criminology program. Please help!!
Have you applied already?
Hey guys! I have sent my application to transfer back in september because i did not realized i need my fall 2016 grades. So on december when grades were posted i had my transcript sent and just last week my application changed that it was being reviewed by the department of marketing (my degree is limited access). I honestly check everyday to see if there is a change.
my gpa is : 3.68
will have my A.A finished by the end of this semester
Good Luck!
It usually takes between 6-8 weeks after the application has been reviewed by your college to know your acceptance. My application was reviewed by the college of criminology around 12/23ish and I was accepted on January 18th my gpa is a 3.25 and I’ll be receiving my AA after the summer semester ends on July 20th? I was accepted for fall 2017 as a criminology major.
I just wanted to leave an update to let you guys know that I got in!! I found out January 31st. I had all my documents in by December 16th and even though they were on break for Christmas and new years I received my response on the 6-8 weeks they tell you. So just remember that after you have all the required documents int (transcripts, and etc), that is when the 6-8 weeks start
hi im sort of in the same situation as you. I currently have a 3.3 gpa from the fall semester, I’m trying to either get the same gpa or try my best to get a 3.5. I currently have 8 credits, I will have 18 credits once I finish this semester, I know that I have to send out my hs transcripts and sat scores, my sat score was 980 and my hs gpa was a 2.6, im wondering what are my chances of getting accepted to fsu?
I also have a 3.3 gpa but I should have 60 credits by the time I transfer. Also, I’m applying for computer science and that’s a limited-access program. Does anyone know if I have a chance- should I even apply? I’m coming from a California community college and I don’t know anyone who has gone to fsu so I’m not sure how competitive their admissions is…
@julyzahxo sorry but your chances are slim to none… I would still apply though… FSU doesn’t tend to accept anyone with a GPA less than 3.8 for freshman and you’d still be considered one.
@lovelei yes. Just make sure that all of your credits are transferrable.
you basically said my chances are slim to none, so why would i even apply? but anyway, i’ll just look into other schools thank you.
@julyzahxo Because there are other variables that could determine whether you get in or not… Who am I to say you won’t get accepted? Based on stats alone probably not…
