I’m a rising sophomore at Emory seriously considering applying to transfer to Gallatin. I want to pursue a career involving fashion/sustainability, though I’m also interested in business/entrepreneurship.
After exploring Emory’s offerings, I decided I would pursue an interdisciplinary degree. Yet, as I’ve began to explore that path, I’ve found most of the resources at Emory go toward pre-med/pre-buisness leaving other departments like IDS lacking in staff and resources.
Knowing that Gallatin has one of the best interdisciplinary programs along with being a native New Yorker, I’d be more than comfortable transferring, but I do have some questions…
Can anyone who has matriculated or is currently at Gallatin attest to the resources provided for students? Did you receive too little/too much guidance? Can anyone give any insight into transferring/transferring as a junior and what the adjustment is like?
Thank you!
