Transferring to Gtown from GWU

I was offered a spot on the extended waitlist at Georgetown, so as of now I'm going to George Washington. Should I say on the extended waitlist b/c it will look better if I want to transfer after freshman year? Has anyone had any experience with transfering? Is it a hard social transition? Do you feel like a 2nd class citizen? The reason I might transfer is that I absolutely love Gtown's Culture and Politics major in SFS. I might not find out about the extended waitlist until june 30th. I kinda wish this whole process was over. Plus, I got $15,000 in merit aid from GW, and will get nothing from Gtown, so I could save a little money my freshman year. Any thoughts?

anyone? any advice?

Perhaps you would have more success posting this on the Georgetown forum. You may find some there who transferred and could respond to your questions.

thanks. i actually posted on both forums, just trying to get all the bases coverd...but i do appreciate the advice

Everyone who transfers from GWU transfers to the more elitist Gtown. You're not the first by any means. Worry not, you'll get in.

If you plan to transfer in advance, don't bother coming to GW. I'm serious.

That's a good point... Paying all that $$$ for a school that you don't even want to attend.
