Transferring to IEOR

Hi I'm going to be a 2nd year undergrad in College of L&S. Since my admission as a freshman I've had the goal of transferring to COE in IEOR.
I was hoping anyone could tell me how competitive it really is to get into this major, what classes to take, and what grades to get. Is there a minimum gpa theyre looking for? And what do they look for in the personal statement.

So far my grades are :
English R1B: B
Math 1A: A-
Math 1B: B-
E10: A-
Chem 1A: B+
Philosophy: A
Sociology: A
Physics 7A: In Progress
UGBA 100: In Progress

What are my chances?
Thanks

yes u will get in z-dawg. i will make sure of it ******

check the IEOR major soph reqs for classes to follow, you have to take classes like Stat 25 and possibly EECS40. Good luck.

search for the COE 2007-2008(or whatever the current year is) announcement. In that book you will find the planned our schedule for IEOR and all the other engineering students. GPA for transfer to IEOR is 3.0-3.5 leaning on the high end of that.

not sure the requirements for transferring from out of college (L&S). i transferred from within coe, and it was smooth. basically, just signing here and there, provided that your gpa is above a certain cutoff that i don't remember anymore. from L&S, you'll probably have to do an actual application (ie. essay, etc.) your grades look good. as an ieor major, what's most important, and what they want to see is a strength in math (54, stats, etc.) and the general engineering classes, as this is what is an indication of how you will fare in the UD classes. what calx mentioned about stats 25 and eecs40 is mistaken...instead for stats your requirements are either stat134 or ieor172, and no eecs class is required. actually no physical science is really used directly in ieor, though its application can be applied to any field, so it may be useful to take those LD classes in that case.

you're right double, stat 25 and EECS aren't specific IEOR reqs, though they will definitely count towards the major.
