Transferring to JHU - SAT Scores

Hey, sorry if this question has already been asked (and I DID try searching for it, but found nothing - maybe I'm blind or something), but does JHU require SAT scores if you want to transfer?

And if they don't, what's the consensus? Put them on or not? And if I do put them on and send my scores, do they receive ALL my scores (for instance I got an 800 in SAT II World History, but pretty much failed my Math SAT II. Is there a way to JUST send my WH ones)?

And if relevant, what do you guys think about these SAT scores? Do I stand a chance of transferring?

SAT taken 03/2007: 1970
SAT taken 10/2007: 2080
SAT II US History: 740
SAT II World History: 800

And then for the crappy scores:

SAT II French: 610
SAT II Lit: 680
SAT II Math 1 (...ok, so I suck at math!): 570

But (sorry for being so OCD) if I do send my scores in, do my AP Scores help even them out?

AP Gov: 5
AP French: 3
AP Calc AB: 3
AP World Hist: 5
AP US Hist: 5
AP Lit: 5
AP Eng Lang: 5

And... since I'm basically giving a resume, I guess I'll just finish the rest of my info:

Unweighted High School GPA: 3.77
Weighted (Do they even calculate this?): 3.83
National Weighted (my county was stupid and made A's 94-100, B's 84-89, etc, but I only think in-state schools bother to convert): 3.96

Currently I'm a First Year at UVA, though I don't have a good estimation of where my grades are at considering it's still First Semester (and pretty much anything could still happen with finals, etc).

Sorry for writing so much, and thank you to everyone/anyone who actually reads this and gives me a good response :]

why do you want to transfer?
i thought UVA was one of the best public universities in the nation.

SAT or ACT scores are optional for transfer applicants. There is no minimum SAT or ACT score that is required, should you choose to submit those scores.

I'm not completely sure about your ability to 'pick and choose' which SAT scores you would like to submit to Hopkins for transfer admission - Admissions_Daniel might be able to shed more light on this topic for me; if he doesn't see this message, it might be best to contact the Admissions Office directly to verify this information.

In terms of submitting your specific SAT scores, (copying and pasting what I wrote in our JHU Transfer Message Board Forum, shameless plug: apply.jhu.edu/forums), each transfer applicant and their experiences, stories, and backgrounds are uniquely different. Evaluate your individual strengths and weaknesses demonstrated by your high school record, college transcript, and professional resume, and subsequently, consider how the addition (or omission) of your SAT/ACT scores will influence your overall transfer applicant file.

If you are applying for sophomore transfer with a limited collegiate academic record or lack of stand-out extracurricular activities, it might be beneficial to submit your SAT/ACT scores. If you are applying for junior transfer, with a stellar college record (academic and extracurricular), and 'no-so-great' college examination scores, you might consider taking advantage of the "optional" option.

In terms of your AP examinations and credit, if you can utilize these scores to your advantage in your application, I don't see why it wouldn't be something to include; furthermore, if accepted, some of these courses may be utilized to place out of a certain course and/or requirement, so it's helpful to have a record of your scores visible, handy, and accessible.

Good luck! :)
