I have finished one semester of college, but have decided to transfer after I finish up the year. I want to transfer to JMU, where I previously got accepted, but declined. At the college I attended, my freshman year, my GPA suffered with me earning a 1.9 gpa. I made good grades in high school, ranked in the top third of my class, and graduated with honors. What could I do to help better improve my chances of being accepted into JMU, my sophomore year, besides raising my gpa?
There’s really nothing else you can do. JMU says on their website that students looking to transfer should have a minimum 3.0 GPA to be considered. If you don’t have this GPA, I imagine your chances aren’t too good. Get your GPA up and transfer as a junior.
