Hi guys. I am currently a freshman at Emory University, and am looking to transfer to Notre Dame for the spring 2014 semester. Now, their common application requires an instructor recommendation and a mid-term report as well as a final report. I understand that for the final report they will be looking at my high school transcript, but what I am concerned about is the mid-term report, because the 2014 transfer application is due 11/01 and I have yet to have a mid-term! Of course I anticipate them, and I have a biology mid-term this coming week. I know this would mean that I have to work extra hard and be flawless this semester if I want to get into Notre Dame. I graduated high school with a weighted 3.9 GPA and I believe unweighted it was 3.75. My ACT composite was 28, and my SAT was not so hot at 1620. With those scores I got into Emory University nonetheless (I fall below their testing average I think). Would you guys recommend I retake some standardized tests (if you can even do that at this point)?

Also, how friendly is Notre Dame to transfers, particularly freshman transfers?
