Hello all,

I am currently enrolled at the University of Miami as a chemistry major, although I have changed my major to mathematics with an economics concentration. I am interested in transferring as classes are too easy, the school lacks competition, and I want to find top schools for majoring in finance. I was wondering a few things, specifically about NYU.

If I apply to NYU Stern, can they choose to not accept me for Stern but allow me to attend the Arts/Sciences college for economics?

Based on my information below, do I have a good shot for transferring to NYU Stern?

What other schools would you suggest for finance? I've taken a look at Cornell, Carnegie Mellon, and Columbia thus far. I'd like to be somewhere in the northeast if possible.
