Transferring to NYU?

I'm trying to transfer to either NYU.

My CC GPA is about a 3.7 right now.
I had a 2.0 (unweighted) in HS. But I'll have completed my A.A. by the time I transfer, so is that a huge component?
I'm in the honors program where I'm a board member.
I'm Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, and president of the media club.
I'm a member of Phi Theta Kappa, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and was picked as a Who's Who student from my school (63 people were picked out of 48,000.)
My recommendations are really solid. Outside of school, I'm also a big sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and a photographer at my local animal services shelter.

I may not submit my SAT scores because transfers don't have to.

I'm applying to Arts & Sciences.

I know about financial aid. I'm willing to take out a loan.

It’s harder to get into NYU as a transfer than as a freshmen. I’m not sure have a 3.7 looks from a CC.

That said, you say you’re willing to take out loans… Can you afford $100,000 worth of debt? Can your parents sign for that much debt? Unless your parents can pay for NYU out-of-pocket, you NEED to be concerned with financial aid. Saying “I’ll take out some loans” is both ill-informed and immature. You would be graduating with so much debt you wouldn’t be able to pay it back while maintaing an even somewhat normal life.
