Transferring to NYU

Hello everyone, I’m currently a freshman at the Isenberg School of Management at Umass Amherst. I have been thinking about transferring to NYU and I realize it may be a long shot but I would like to hear people’s opinions. I just finished my first semester where I did pretty well, I took 16 credits and got a 3.94 GPA with all A’s and one A-. My GPA in high school wasn’t as great with my overall GPA being about a 3.4 and an SAT of 1980 (700 Math, 610 Reading, 680 Writing).Extracurricular’s in high school included Varsity soccer captain, travel soccer, I was the lead in 4 plays at my performing arts high school, I did 3 internships, Science tutoring once a week, co-manager of the arts and community service club. So far in College I’ve been in our Investment club, Finance Society, and Diversity in Sports club as well as a business program for Freshmen. If I write some solid essays and get the same GPA this upcoming semester, in which I’m taking 18 or 19 credits, do you think I have a chance at being accepted at NYU for the Fall. Either the school of Arts & Sciences or Stern. I know Stern is much harder to get into but I might as well ask. And I might as well mention that I’m from New York City and live like 10-15 minutes from NYU. Thank you for anyones opinions, anything helps! Thanks!

I think you have a good shot at Arts & Sciences but I’m pretty sure Stern will reject. Go for arts & sciences!!
