I was just wondering if anyone knew how competitive it is to transfer into Oxy. I've also been in contact with the track coach for recruitment, so do you think that would help my decision? Thanks in advance

I applied to transfer to Oxy from Bradley University. Outlook doesn't look good...

Why do you say that?

the small class size and the fact that the class of 2009 is made up of a whopping 30 transfer students. Plus, college admissions and I don't exactly have a "good relationship." I was rejected to five schools last year. I'm hoping my involvement at Bradley will help shine a light on my potential at Oxy. It's my number one choice at this point. We'll see though. What year are you and where are you transferring from?

well, the whopping 30 students isn't really too bad considering that occidental has a pretty small graduating class. does anyone have transfer statistics as well as general admission statistics? thanks

per College Board:

Transfer Students
Total number of transfer students who applied: 283
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 66

this comes out to 23%, which is pretty tough. occidental is raising its stock and is going to be very well known soon.
