Transferring to Pace...Do I Have Any Chances?

ok so I am currently enrolled in a chicago community college the best out of Chicago City Colleges network, actually...wow was that a brag? I will never know and I have 9 credits now, but when I finish, I will have 23 credits and 3 organizations under my belt.
I sent in my application 2 weeks ago, but with my family's lack of money,I'll have to wait until this friday the 25th for the application fee. Plus, I do not have my letters of rec sent in yet, because I did not speak to any of my teachers last semester :/. both, I personally think, will weaken my chances My paper is great, it's about the whole homelessness experience my family and I had when I was in eighth grade. My grades are a 2.8, and they are definitely going to be higher than last semester's. I'm just a bit worried. I heard that if I go to an interview, I will be admitted on the spot. Unfortunately, I don't have the access to a flight as others do. I was wondering if I could interview with them by phone or skype phone would be the better option. In fact, I remember having an interview over the phone with the vocal performance instructor from Kentucky State
I know it's all jumbled up there, but can someone tell me my chances.
Long story short: I'm a student enrolled in Chicago's best community college
With an average gpa of 2.8

Who's trying to transfer to Pace University in New York.
I just want to know my chances, and if I should have anything to worry about.

Its a Reach

oh gee, something to worry about! :D

I have reasons to doubt that Pace is a reach…

UIC, on the other hand, is probably a reach as a transfer.

I can’t say. I don’t know the stats on tranfers to Pace. A concern that arises in my mind, however, is whether you are going to be able to swing the cost differential. Pace is private and very expensive. They do not meet most of the time, and transfers usually have a tougher go of it in the financial aid process. Can you afford to make this transfer?

Yes, I’ve heard their financial aid package is beneficial, and I don’t know how much FAFSA would give me for going there. I know for the community college I get $2,000. I guess I can. Plus, it’s the cheapest school in Manhattan University, that is compared to the other Universities in the city. I’ve heard nothing but good things concerning their financial aid packages for students in need. However, you did say transfers have a difficult time in the financial aid process, so I may be f***ed.
I’d still consider going there, if I get in.

I have a friend who wanted me to go to UIC with her.
I don’t know if it’ll be a reach, I know most of the faculty and my mother used to go there.
Plus she and my aunt used to work there my aunt had an administrative type position when I was in kindergarten. And I know most of the professors that have retired…or died…But I don’t think UIC is that much of a reach for me…Uof C however…let’s not even go there D:

Oh yea…the stats are 75% for transfers
which is about less than 4% than the acceptance rate for freshmen.
And about 10% less than when I was a senior in high school also
