Transferring To Purdue

Soo, I have a really low GPA (2.95), and want to transfer into Purdue for Electrical Engineering, which requires 3.00. I am thinking about just transfering into Agricultural Engineering first and then doing a transfer over to electrical since Agriculture only has a requirement of 2.50.

Does anyone know how hard it is to transfer into Purdue? What the percentages accepted are and whatnot? Thanks

I transferred into CS which wasn’t as competetive, and then after my first semester there I will do a CODO into Computer Engineering. I would recommend applying into something no so competetive and then doing an internal transfer. Your GPA is quite low for any engineering discipline, so I would suggest applying into another program and then transferring.

I just got accepted two days ago:

I had a 3.42GPA with 44 hours at the moment. Even though we weren’t required to send a LOR I submitted one anyways. Good luck!

Also, before you apply - make sure the program is still open to transfer students.

You should consider applying to Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology(College of Technology) since their requirements are lower(minimum 2.5). Then once you are accepted you can fill out the necessary paperwork to transfer between colleges.
