Transferring to Rochester Institute of Technology from out of state community college

I am a 20 year old accounting major at Montgomery County Community College. This spring is my last semester before I graduate and and I am starting to apply to universities. I am going to finish with a little over 3.0 GPA, which I know isn't that great. I don't have much ECs, I have mostly been working in construction and a little retail during school and summers. Do credits from Pennsylvania community colleges transfer easily to schools out of state? I am looking into many of the state colleges near me such as Kutztown and West Chester. However, my parents feel that I should I apply to Rochester Insitute of Technology for the Deaf (RIT). The tuition in the school is 35k a year and is a great private school. I have been to several open meetings about the school and have toured the campus. I am eligible to only have to pay 1/3rd of the tuition due to me being completely deaf. Do you think I have a chance to get into this school if I apply?

I don’t see why not; 3.0 is decent for a student and I meet transfers from surrounding community colleges all the time. I suppose you need to ask yourself what you’re doing there-as you didn’t provide much information, but I can certainly vouch for the education quality and resources and quality life.

I’m also deaf supported and I pay reduced rate; but I attend KGCOE (Engineering), and not Saunders which I am assuming you’re applying into for accounting/ business. I hear they are pretty flexible with transfer credits, try emailing a Saunders advisor.
