I'm a TCNJ Biomedical Engineering freshman, and I'm currently looking to transfer to Rutgers. I find that the TCNJ biomedical engineering program leaves something to be desired...

I applied back early in January, and I was wondering if anybody who applied back then for fall transfer got in. I check the website every few days, but the screen hasn't changed since they received all my credentials. I was salutatorian at my high school, and I have a 4.0 right now. I don't think I should have a problem getting in, but my luck tends to be...bad? Housing assignments for TCNJ are coming up the first week of March, and I was kind of hoping I'd hear from RU before then. Anybody get accepted for fall transfer yet?

I'm pretty sure noone hears back until april because they get to transfers once they have gone through all of or almost all of the freshman.
Makes getting on campus housing tough.
I definitely recommend having an alternative to oncampus housing in order just in case. Thats whay I'm doing if in case I get in.

I have a buddy who's getting an apartment through the lottery. He said as soon as i get in, i have to give him my RU ID to room with him. Do you think I'll still be able to get in the apartment that late?

Should be alright then, although I'm not positive. I know for my situation my friend said just let him know if I get in and if I do theres a spot for me, if I don't or if I get on campus housing and choose to take it then let him know so they can post online to get someone to fill the spot.

I transferred to RU fall 2008 and they didn't let me know until April. From what I can recall, most of the people on CC didn't hear back till the beginning of april at the earliest.

Just go for housing at TCNJ and let your roommate (roommates?) know that you might be leaving.

But- just a heads up to all of you- rutgers has announced that they are short like 2,000 rooms already. I would bet good money that a lot of transfer students will wind up in the hotel.

backtothestars, what were your grades and gpas from high shcool and college when you transferred? just asking and trying to weigh my odds of getting in
