I dont know whether or not to go to TCNJ or NJIT. I want to do biomedical engineering as my major and perhaps apply to medical school in the future. I really like the TCNJ campus but the only thing that bothers me is that it is "nationally ranked". Not many people outside of the tristate area know about TCNJ. Would this hurt me in the future regarding employment? Which school would you choose, TCNJ or NJIT?

tcnj over njit anyday. I have heard from many students in the bio department and they all love it. I think the undergrad experience there is a lot better than NJIT too. Also, tcnj is normally considered in line with rutgers, or imo, better than rutgers nowadays.

TCNJ. I hear the campus is very nice there, and the academics are supposed to be neck-and-neck with Rutgers.

Has anyone applied to TCNJ? i applied and when i asked if they recieved my app, they tell me they will let me know once its been processed which will take 2 weeks or so. My guidance counsler sent in a post card asking them to send it back saying they recieved my application, but TCNJ has not responded. has anyone else applied to TCNJ? Please help me ease my anxiety!

I applied Stogey -- they send a letter in the mail saying that they received your request and then they give you a username/password for their "application status" webpage.

I sent my application in on October 5th I believe, and I ended up getting the letter about two or three weeks after that. So you'll get it; just have some patience.

TCNJ is an excellent school. Have you considered Rutgers at all?

Even though hope to to TCNJ which a liberal arts college, an biomedical engineering degree would carry wieght right? Will employeers turn me down because i did engineering from a LAC such as TCNJ?

NJIT is in Newark. I'd stay away from Newark.
You might want to look at Rowan or Stevens IT.

I liked TCNJ a lot more than NJIT. I was worried about the name-recognition thing too so that is why I am applying to...Rutgers.

What are your opinions on RU nursing vs TCNJ nursing?
