Transferring to Texas A&M (Chemical Engineering) -- What are my chances?

Currently enrolled at the University of Houston – not really enjoying the environment/atmosphere so i’m thinking about transferring, hoping someone might have some insight on whether or not i’m even a good applicant.

Deans list for Fall 2015/ Spring 2016
Involved in 4 organizations, 2 of them relating to my major

GPA: 3.718/4.0
GPA ( On A&M’s scale since they don’t use +/-) : 3.677/4.0

Because you’re coming from a four year university program and are keeping good grades I’d say you’re a solid applicant. Best of luck!

Will Texas A&M accept you right into your major? Have you looked into Texas Tech? I think they give transfer scholarships.
Are you instate for Texas?

@mommdc I’m not sure i’d be applying for fall admission, and I haven’t looked at Texas Tech and yes I live in Texas
