I’m going to be attending two years of community college in my local school’s honors program and they have this summer study tour opportunity in 2018 for program students to study in England. Would this be beneficial in building my transfer resume or just a waste of money asides from the experience?
Of course it would be beneficial l, I just can’t really tell you HOW beneficial it will be. For an example, the school I’m trying to transfer into only looks at my college GPA I achieved up until my AA and no letters of recc or essays. A lot of schools though would look at that positively if they give you the option to include that in your application. Just do some research in the schools you want to be admitted into.
It’s a great experience but in terms of actual transferring will have limited benefit. If your main reason for spending the money is to enhance your transfer prospects, it is probably a waste of $$.
