I’m looking to transfer to UNC as a sophomore next year, and I’m meeting with the transfer coordinator in a few weeks but I’d like to know some of my chances beforehand.
I didn’t do too well in HS, I finished with a 3.4 and one class senior year (I know) I graduated early and only had one class the first semester. I only took one AP class and was #180 out of 496 students. I was extremely active in EC though.
My SAT & ACT weren’t great, 1050 and a 25. I can retake them if need be if that would even help.
I’m at a NC Community College as a Student Ambassador which is a really big deal. I’m getting 240 volunteer hours this year, plus a lot of other perks being a student ambassador. I will finish this year with a 4.0. I can probably get a recommendation from the President of the school. I really didn’t live up to my potential in high school.
What are your thoughts? I know they look at high school and I know the coordinator I meet with will have her opinion, but it has been on my mind the past couple of days.
