Transferring to UNCC (or similar schools in UNC system)?

Okay, I have applied to UNC-Charlotte as a transfer student. I applied in late February, but my high school transcripts finally arrived less than a week ago. I will have my Associate in Arts at the end of this semester. My GPA far exceeds the minimum requirement of a 2.0. However, I had a number of withdrawls one year due to a medical emergency (pharmacy error). I've talked to the different transfer advisers, and they've said that it's a pretty black and white process. They stated that as long as I meet the requirements (which I do), then I'm in. However, I'm not so sure. I wonder if they're just being reassuring.

Students who transferred to UNCC or know a transfer student:

What was your GPA?
Did you send in anything about extra curricular activities or recommendation letters?
Did the way that they calculated your GPA match the GPA you expected to transfer with or the GPA on your transcript from the last college?
How long did it take to hear back about your admittance/rejection?
Should I send in a letter of addendum explaining my withdrawn courses?

Thank you so much! :)
