Transferring to Wash U

Hello,

I have a few questions for transferring to Washington University in St.Louis.

This is my information:

  • School: St.John's University in New York
  • Major: Economics and French
  • Status: Have Completed Freshmen year and now in gap year.
  • GPA: 3.81 (on dean's list)
  • Experiences: Volunteer at the UN Headquarter and in Ukraine, Intern at the Netherlands Embassy

Questions:

1… Is it possible for me to transfer to Washington University in St.Louis?

2… What is it like to study in this school? About the learning atmosphere, school resources, etc.

3… What makes you to study/transfer to Wash U?

Thank you so much.
Hope to hear any comments soon!

Sincerely,

Do you have any ECs? Your GPA looks good, but try to keep it a 3.8+. I’m looking to transfer there in the fall of 2019. Not a student there, but I visited last year. Throughout your time as a student you’ll have tons of advisors. I could be wrong, but I think by the time you leave you will have had about 8 or 9. I was there during a break, so the campus was dead, but I’ve heard nothing but good things. The students I have spoken to love it and, of course, the academics are to notch. Just make sure you visit before going there (if you’re admitted). Some people don’t like St. Louis, but I found it welcoming.
