Hello, I am a community college student in Southern California who is looking to apply to Wharton, and other business schools for an Undergraduate degree in 2015. I have heard that Wharton does not place such an emphasis on GPA's as it does on an applicant's extra curricular activities. What are the extra curricular activities that an applicant is recommended to take part in before application?

Their really is no set list of EC’s that would guarantee you admission into Wharton. My advice is to just join stuff that interests you and you enjoy and try your best to excel in them. At the end of the day, even if you do not get admission into Wharton, at least you will not look at those years as wasted

In addition, excelling in something you have a passion for will really shine through when you eventually get down to writing your essays and getting in teachers recommendations which will definitely prove to be crucial intangibles in improving your admission chances
