I am hoping to transfer to William and Mary, what are my chances?

Deans list
Key community student of the year
William and Mary is great for political science. You will certainly be competitive with a 3.8, of course impossible to say if you will be accepted or not. Are you a VA resident? Is it affordable for you, especially if OOS?
Just as an FYI, other excellent choices for political sciences might be Dickinson and Holy Cross.
That’s great!! David Cohn one of William & Mary’s lead basketball players and team captains last year was from Colorado State. He recently broke the school record in assists. Anyways I recently graduated from William & Mary with a degree in government. It is really top notch, they have really fantastic professors, a lot of undergraduate research and opportunities going on in government (a think tank that presents to the State Department, Political Psychology Lab, lots of internships and connections to DC, opportunities to go abroad, etc.), and comes from a long history of producing government leaders (Jefferson, Henry Clay, John Marshall, Robert Gates, James Comey, etc)
If you got any more questions about anything, let me know. I can connect you with the different resources or people a part of the things you are interested in.As for your chances, your grades certainly seem competitive enough to transfer and you have some interesting ECs on your resume. If you just finished your first year, your HS and your test scores may still matter a little, but mostly will focus on your college record. You seem to have done well, but like others said make sure you assess if it is affordable for you because they offer very limited aid for out of state students.
