Transferring with an AA

Okay so I just finished my first year at Miami Dade College and I plan on getting my AA in May 2016, I have a 3.6 GPA currently and I want to apply to FSU as a transfer next year, but I’m not sure if I should apply to a limited access program (Public Relations) and risk not getting accepted or should I just apply to a non limited access program (Humanities). I also know for Humanities there’s no prerequisites but for Public Relations there’s 18 hours outside the major and beyond Liberal Studies and I’m really not sure that means. Also if I chose Humanities what kind of careers could I do with that major? I wanted to choose I major where there’s a broad amount of career choices I chose from. And one last thing, I know for limited access programs you apply to the program separately( like for public relations I think it’s Feb 1st) , so do you get two letters of admission? and if you do, what if you get accepted to FSU but not you program, then what?

Liberal Studies are Math, English, History, Social Sciences, Humanities, Fine Arts and the Natural Science. Pretty much everything. Ask them to give you some example classes that would be outside of your major or fall under Liberal Studies.

Thanks Gator88NE,
I called and they said with my AA I don’t have to worry about that, just my GPA, an essay, the application etc. but I think I’m going to look into another major
