So I was accepted to Georgetown College and I realize that I might want to actually be in Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.

I read my acceptance letter & for program changes it mentioned that I would have to request for a change well before June 1st & make a petition for a program change.

How does the actual process work & is it easy to change before I actually attend.

I didn’t do a change, but I hear it’s pretty easy if it’s before you get here. I think they make you write the essay for that school, possibly. Other posters may have done it and can tell you the actual process, but yes, it’s not difficult at this stage.

It is very easy to change before you arrive to Georgetown. I mentioned to my dean as late as the summer I might want to be in the SFS after a year in the college and he said he could do the transfer now if I wanted it ASAP. Once you’re within the college basically all you need is a 3.5 and you can transfer to any of the schools.
