I, like many others, have been rejected at one of my top choices. Transferring seemed to be the next step for me. I would go to one of the colleges that I got into, and try to transfer to the other school. But after a while I began to wonder if it was worth it. Even if I did get accepted at my "dream school," I would loose all my friends and would be thrown into a school as a sophomore not really knowing anyone. Does anyone else feel that transferring may just not be worth it?

go look at the transfer thread. lots of people have talked about this. but yea, it's a lot of trouble and possibly not worthwhile if, after a year, you like the school you're currently at, but just want to try to maybe get into a better one. it's possible you might end up with specific, legitimate reasons for transferring, though. this is really something you're just going to have to wait out and see. you can't make decisions about transferring now. also, if you go into one of these schools you got accepted to with the mindset of, "well, i'm just gonna transfer to a better school after this year," you might just end up miserable. i kind of did that. try to be positive and excited about the school you decide on, and be active there. it will be soooo much better!

in the fall i will be transferring for the second time (my first year i did only a year-long program, but i'm really not at all satisfied with my current school either) and yea, it definitely was difficult, and it's going to be difficult again in the fall, but i find my specific reasons well worth it. you'll just have to wait and see.
