<p>I'm currently a freshman MechE at Washington University in St Louis looking to transfer to A&M next year due to costs and distance from home. I was wondering how difficult it is to transfer into the engineering department? If I was top 10% in high school (in state) would I still get automatic admission?</p>
<p>A 3.5+ with the completed tracks for whatever engineering major you want would probably be sufficient. And no, you would not be getting automatic admission.</p>
