Was anyone else secretly hoping that decisions being released in May was some sort of joke? lol.

It just makes the wait all the more painful =p

Anyway, here’s my stats:

Class Standing: Sophomore
GPA: 3.8
Major: Mathematics
School: University of Connecticut
Other randoms: Member of 2 honor societies, tutor in the math lab for the last 2 semesters, also employed at an apple orchard for the last 5 years, etc.

I really hope we’re all accepted! It would be nice to meet everyone in person! =)

Btw, I had the same thing happen to me with myWellesley saying that they hadn’t received my interview. If you call admissions, they can fix it.

My stats are low, but I hope that they look at my overall:
sophomore: GPA 3.58 - and i sent in my midterm report
major: psychology and sociology
school: Mary Baldwin college - was accepted into a gifted program at 16 so hopefully that boosts it
e.c.s: alpha lambda delta (honor society), VP of a club, Captain of cheer, working with a professor on a project

Everyone looks good! Wow Wellesley is going to have a hard time choosing. Actually, I was really hoping that the May reply date was also a joke (to be honest I’m still hoping to know something in April lol) ever the eternal optimist I am…
We should def meet up if we all get in, that would be so cool because then we’d go in knowing fellow students!
Good luck everyone. : )

I did. I called and emailed. Finally I spoke to a woman who was able to help me. I then sent an email to my interviewer letting her know of the issue and she called the admissions office. So now all I have to do is wait.

Does anyone know of an updated number of how many transfers Wellesley is able to accept this year? Earlier, I was told the # was very low (~3-10 women) but I’d like to know if that’s changed based on their new freshman yield/retention rate for this year.

guys great news!!
I just went on mywellesley.edu and the following showed up:
" Admission Notifications
Final admission decision information will become available on May 13. You will be able to view your decision online beginning at 5pm Eastern Daylight Savings Time. Decisions will remain posted until June 1. "

cosettex, it is so funny that you just posted that. I just found that on my page! I mean, what else would we be doing than checking our myWellesley’s at 1 a.m.? LOL

Anyway, it’s so nice to finally have a countdown date!

Btw, i just wanted to wish everyone best of luck on finals and of course with their Wellesley decisions!

hahahaha amgo08007 glad to know Im not the only one going up the wall with this waiting game (proof being, as u mentioned, that we are both checking mywellesley at 1 am lol.)
Ahhh 15 more days guys . . . we’ll get there.

Transfer014: I felt the same way. I just opened my inbox and I thought “No way! I sent everything! I’m definitely not getting in now…” haha. Still, it left bad nerves as residue. =

I didn’t apply for Fin. Aid, so mine just says “If you have recently sent your application materials to IDOC, please check back in a few days to confirm receipt.”

Also…definitely being paranoid here, but the original email from Wellesley with my Banner ID & pw has a reply-to address of WellesleyCollegeoevbodgvowzz@cp20.com. The email from today has a reply-to of WellesleyCollegepnyvzdgvowzz@cp20.com. Why!?

hachan, what does it say for your financial aid status?
Is there any way to check fin aid online?
So if they are calling wait list admits does that mean that they’ve already decided on transfers? Or are they not going to be accepting any at all . … has anyone called them lately?

A few years ago, I found out my (transfer) acceptance to Wellesley online. I didn’t get a phone call.

I imagine that Wellesley is also considering the numbers of current students-- transferring out, taking a leave of absence, studying abroad, etc. as it makes its transfer decisions.
