Transfers within Cornell

Is transfering within cornell easy? If so, then is it possible to transfer before freshman year if you change your mind and decide you want to attend another one of the cornell schools

it's easy. no you can't transfer before freshman year

Can you transfer once you're a freshman though?

yes. search for internal transfer division on cornell's website.

it's not an immediate process btw. takes one semester.

Kind of similar topic. Say I end up in my second choice (CALS) instead of Engineering, can I still take ALL my courses for that one semester in Engineering?

I know you have to take at least a few classes before you can transfer!

no milki, you have to take at least one class in your official college.

Let's say I applied to ILR, which I have a greater chance of getting into than I do for AEM. I like both programs, but what credentials would be needed for a transfer from ILR to AEM? Would AEM look any better to ibanking recruiters? Is one program easier than the other?

I haev the same question as roleaux

these questions have been answered several times on the boards.

again...

"but what credentials would be needed for a transfer from ILR to AEM?"
you have to take some AEM classes usually, this may be tough at first with cramped schedule.

"Would AEM look any better to ibanking recruiters?"
no

"Is one program easier than the other?"
AEM is known to be easy, but there are too many variables to make conclusions.

Don't apply to ILR with the intent of transfering. Admissions puts emphasis on trying to weed out those who may be going for a "backdoor" type of access to Cornell. You will be rejected promptly ... trust me.

Thank you for all the information you have provided, Gomestar. Please note that these questions are purely hypothetical, and I would never apply to a school or program with the intent of transferring. As for the ibanking question, there seems to be an anti-Cornell, anti-ILR bias on the College Confidential boards, and I just wanted that cleared up.

let me guess, "columbiahopeful!" has gotten you a little worried, right? He seems to think ILR isn't very good at iBanking (only good for HR) when the statistics we provided totally proved him wrong.
