Anyone planning on transferring to LSU for next year?? I'm from Chicago does anyone think it would be difficult fitting in out of state or is everyone there generally pretty friendly.

I'm a high school student from the Chicago area considering LSU, so I'm interested in this too. From everything I've seen and heard, they are making a big effort to add diversity and welcome out of state students, and the student body is generally friendly.

I found this page about out of state recruitment, so I'm sure the Illinois recruiter can give us a lot of information. http://appl003.lsu.edu/slas/recruitweb.nsf/$Content/Recruiting+Territories?OpenDocument#outofstate

make sure your gpa is higher than 2.5
if your gpa is higher than 3,you will probably in.

I am also considering transferring to LSU, but I am an LA resident. The student body is friendly, and there is a little bit of everything. Baton Rouge is also a very large city with a lot of diversity.
