How is Penn State with transfer students? I’m auditioning next winter which would be my junior year here at Wright State…however I have every intention of starting over again and going to school for 4 years. I’m theatre studies right now, however musical theatre is what I want to do! Just wanted to see how Penn State does with transfer MTS

hi wrightstate,

there are two male transfers in my class this year. to my knowledge, psu will do their best to let you graduate in three years if youre a transfer student. (as far as i know this is done based on previous credits you have taken, ect.) they will make you what is called a “super sophomore” where basically your second AND third year is squeezed into your second year at school. so lets say you went to penn state starting fall 2010. you’d complete your first year as a freshman, squeeze sophomore AND junior classes into your second year, then complete sr year your third year, and graduate 2013 rather than 2014. its hard work, but you dont have to pay for 4 more years of school!!!

it would be best to call the school of theatre at psu to see how they deal with transfers, but this is what is done to my knowledge
