I've been doing some SAT CR problems, and I seem to be doing absolutely horribly, in comparison to my ACT CR scores. Without studying, I got every question right on the real ACT CR section. However, on the SAT CR reading practice tests, I'm ending up in the high-600 range.

Does anybody have any advice on switching between these tests? Is the ACT truly easier than the SAT? I'm kind of worried about just using the ACT as my only test scores because I know what kind of SAT scores are expected by colleges, but not the ACT correlation.

I don’t know of anything that only compares scores on critical reading, but google ‘SAT ACT concordance’ and you’ll see (from the college board and ACT websites) what the overall equivalents are between SAT total and ACT composite.

For example, to pick a couple of SAT scores, out of 1600:

I was looking at the correlations, and my ACT to SAT seems higher than it should be, but perhaps it is just a sign that I should take the ACT. Thanks!
